The rescue centre (le RZ) easily belongs to the modular facilities which are available to the medical service of the Bundeswehr for international, catastrophe or other relief available. The 1st generation unit tents looked back on a useful life of about 30 years in the early 1990s. They were procured in the 1950s, to ensure the field accommodation of soldiers. In addition, they should be used for establishing field functional areas (such as field hospitals)

The tent, air supported, expanded space for the treatment of wounded soldiers: it can be built within thanks to the air chamber system that replaces the internal linkage, by just a few minutes. An additional external linkage can be mounted for longer periods. Tents of this type are used when the light airdrop rescue centre.
