is designed for airfield operations and represents the heaviest fire truck of the Bundeswehr fire brigades with 32 t. The 11,05 m long, 2.75 m is driven wide and 3,16 m high vehicle by two 6-cylinder diesel engines from KHD in the rear of the vehicle, providing each 235 kW (320 HP).

At present (autumn 2009) the army's ABC and self-protection school in Stetten am Kalt Markt is testing a successor model for the partial replacement of the Unimog chassis and the Es. It comes from Rosenbauer and conceptually corresponds to a rescue fire engine. The 18-tonne fire engine is based on the Scania P 380 CB EH2 chassis with a wheelbase of 4,700 mm and a maximum permissible mass of 18,000 kg. The fire extinguishing equipment includes a Rosenbauer pump N25 with a capacity of 2,500 liters / min and an RM 25 E roof monitor. Four floor spray nozzles are used for self-protection. On board the vehicle a fire-fighting water reserve of 2800 liters and a foaming agent supply of 280 liters is carried. There is also a 135 kg powder extinguishing system and a 120 kg Minimax carbon dioxide extinguishing system. The firefighting equipment is completed by a Rotzler Treibmatic TR 30/6 pulling device and a Flexilight light tower.

As far as is known, the future FlKfz should easily be used, in particular, where fire protection tasks in the context of military operations of fire protection soldiers must be performed. Procurement of 36 vehicles is considered.
